If you came out for last Saturday’s Jibba Jabba Rail Jam at Rye Airfield then you know at least 2 things. One, the riders threw down. Two, it was cold as hell! 3 classes of riders competed and the 16 invited riders made it super hard for the judges to narrow down the field. Mark Edwards, Ben ross and Brandon Honeycutt were the final 3 to go to a game of “JIBBA”. Honeycutt edged out a fine-tuned Ben Ross for the $500 cash purse. No doubt, there was some doperiding goin down despite the low temps. Look for the pics

“The Compound” in Barrington, NH hosted an awesome event last weekend, the “Drop In For Emily”, in an effort to raise money for the Emily Madden Memorial Fund. Hundreds of people came out to show their support and more than $1,500 was raised for the memorial fund! This is truly what snowboarding was meant to be. Good old fashioned backyard fun. Everyone helped pitch in to help make this event a huge success for a great cause. Thank you everyone!
Granite Gorge hosts a railjam and park session under the lights right after turkey dinner. $20 gets you riding from 6pm till. Contest starts at 8pm and look for plenty of prizes and giveaways. Burn off those thanksgiving calories and win some cool stuff at the same time!
Back again by popular demand is Killington’s Rail To Riches on Saturday December 12th. The early season rail contest that puts out $15,000 in cash prizes draws some of the top riders from all over the country. This year registration filled in under 3 minutes! Thursday the show kicks off at it’s new location, The Boston Seaport World Trade Center. New Retailers Eastern Boarder and East Coast Alpine will be taking care of the retail this year. Expect the show to be more core than years past and don’t miss Fall Brawl on Saturday afternoon!
You’ve heard of the Secret Steezy Jib Spot, now’s your chance to come check it out! The “Drop In For Emily” will be held at the Melanson Compound on 40 Oak Hill rd in Barrington, NH on November 21st from Noon till. It’s $10 to ride and $5 to chill, and it’ll be well worth it. All proceeds benefit the Emily Madden Memorial Fund. Gonna be a super chill time, come and hang.
Waterville Valley Presents FALL BRAWL baby! Saturday November 13th, the coveted tradeshow skate comp is stronger than ever this year. New Englands top invited skaters will battle it out for over $2,500 in cash and prizes at Boston’s Seaport World Center starting at 2pm. Gonna be off the hook this year! Check out the snow show and enjoy some of the best skaters throwing down.
Burton Brings back the famed “Queen City Sessions” rail jam this Saturday in downtown Burlington to kick off the 2011 snowboard season. More than 60 riders will compete under the city lights on St. Paul Street for cash and prizes from 5-9pm. Don’t miss the afterparty at the Green Room following the comp. This one is a classic and it’s great to see it back in full force again.
