2nd Annual Mountains of Steez Recap

The second annual Mountains of Steez day at Granite Gorge was a huge success; if you weren’t there, you blew it. It was a gorgeous day for shredding park and hanging out with our sponsors. OneOhEight Apparel, Nevado,Synergy, Teds, SASS Global Travel, NOTB, Green Wax and Rye Airfield among many others, were giving out swag beside us while Bean and Rhythm Snowboards had on-snow demos. The If in Life from Flyrock Records and Big Love Monster were rocking out inside the beer tent, sponsored by Narragansett Beer and Unbridled Chocolates. The bar, built entirely out of snow, was the perfect place to listen to the band and watch kids kill it in the High Ollie Competition. PM.Snowtec rider Brandon Honeycutt took the grand prize of a five pound whoopee pie and an NOTB skate deck in the big air comp, but not without stiff competition from Jed Sky, Ben Ross, Kyle Dezi, Justin Melanson, and many other athletes. With features set up from top to bottom and untouched pow through the trees, we couldn’t have asked for a better day to do what we love. Thanks to everyone who came out, competed, and supported us; we had an awesome time and the support from the rider community showed. We’ll let the pics do the rest of the talking. Looking forward to making next years even bigger and better if it’s even possible! – Cat Reagan
