What Exactly is it that you do?
SASS Global Travel was launched to revolutionize adventure travel worldwide. With an industry-leading sustainable travel vision, SGT offers exceptional trip opportunities to clients as they surf, ski, dive and ride in some of the most extraordinary destinations on Earth. With a core set of principles that go far beyond traditional tour operators — including cultural immersion, personal development, and physical well-being, SASS Global Travel creates transcendent life experiences that are far more than a vacation.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is creating experiences second to none for individuals. Listening to clients say “I just had the best day of my life” is what makes me tick and continue to provide the energy and experiences to make dreams come true.

If you could go or ride anywhere in the world where would it be?
Not to be bias, but my favorite place to ride is still Argentina Patagonia, with the SASS family. Shredding pow in a foreign country in the heart of the US summer is something that makes me happy!

On a lighter note, whats one thing you can’t live without?
I can’t live without ice cream!! It has been a staple in my diet my whole life and it is something that I can’t live without.
Who’s your favorite super hero? If you could have any power in the world what would it be?
Super Man, so I could fly to wherever I needed to go and make it easy to surf waves and ride powder during the crazy storms that happen throughout the year.

And last but not least, whats the last thing you ate today? Was it good?
Today, I had a chicken salad sandwich prepared by my wife and it was amazing!!

2nd Annual Shop Guy Golf Tournament

The Second Annual Shop Guy Invitational went down yesterday at Ragged Mountain Golf Course in Danbury, NH. The event was a huge success, drawing more than 50 snow/skate industry characters from throughout New England together for a good cause. This years event helped raise more than $1,500 for the Molly Fund. It was blistering hot and the scattered thunderstorms ended some games a hole or two early, but that didn’t stop everyone from having an awesome time. Congrats to the Snowboard Jones crew for taking the top spot and Mike Lee and Shannon Mitchell for hitting the farthest ball for men and women. Even without snow at the mountain you can still have a kick ass time. We’re looking forward to next years event.

What Exactly is it that you do?
Great question! Well I’m the Sales Manager for the State Park which includes the winter and summer businesses. The winter is based mostly around groups, both national and international, as well as working with upwards of 80 lodging properties to offer one of the best value deals for a ski & stay package. You can also see me selling some tickets here and there, working events, and “testing” the product! The spring is preparation time for the thousands of people who will be visiting the Tram and Flume. I help organize groups (general and Tour Operators), facilitate the sales of Tram and Flume tickets at the same local lodging properties, sell Tram tickets, and organize events in Profile Field (this is a growing aspect of my job). Finally, the fall is spent on the road at colleges, universities, ski clubs and ski shows. This is the best part of my job, but also the most demanding. You are all over New England, but the good news is that I can talk about something that I absolutely love!
What is your favorite part of your job?
The traveling. I’m getting to a ton of states that I would not have otherwise gone to (Texas this year)! The skiing part is pretty awesome too…

If you could go or ride anywhere in the world where would it be?
Can’t pick one, but mostly likely a warm, small island.
On a lighter note, whats one thing you can’t live without?
I can’t live without my two Boxers (Baylie and Dozer)!

Who’s your favorite super hero? If you could have any power in the world what would it be?
I kinda dig Storm from X-Men. I don’t know what my power would be, but it would have something to do with flying at a fast rate of speed. I’m sure if I sat here all day I could come up with some good ones….but work calls.
And last but not least, what’s the last thing you ate today? Was it good?
A bagel! I could live on cream cheese! How could a fresh bagel toasted with the perfect amount cream cheese be bad?
