10 Questions with G-Man and Brushie

What do you two do for work these days?
G: I own an Action Sports Consulting business-GM Consulting.

G-Man, you just moved back to Vermont after a long stint on the West Coast. Why’d you come back?
G: Well, I moved back East to be closer to family. I also like to mix it up, I feel a lot of positive vides back here and great business opportunities.

Brushie, you’ve been into gambling for a while. Would you call it a career or a hobby?
B: I don’t really gamble much… I mainly only play poker tournaments when I have the time. Probably only a few per year.
Any big winnings, making millions or second mortgage on the house?
B: No millions, just a couple small WSOP circuit cashes.

You guys still ride a lot?
G: Yeah I ride as much as I can. I just got back from a trip to Chile in September.
B: Not as much as I’d like… I live in San Diego now, which makes it harder to go ride. It’s a long drive to Mammoth & Tahoe. I might make it up there like 5 times per winter now.

Brushie, still have dogs?
B: Just one Doberman right now. Rubee

Are either of you surprised at how far snowboarding has come since you first got involved, or could you always foresee it’s imminent growth?
G: After waiting a whole season for the resorts in Vermont to allow snowboarding, I knew that snowboarding would at least go as far as skiing has… Boy I mis-judged snowboarding’s potential! Snowboarding will continue to offer outrageous attraction worldwide.
B: Not surprised at all. How could something so cool not get big? Look at how big skateboarding got way before snowboarding did… It was bound to happen.
Positives and negatives you see nowadays in snowboarding that you didn’t during the early days of the sport?
G: I’m only seeing positive vibes in snowboarding right now. The hustlers are being pushed out and the true roots of snowboarding are bubbling back to the surface. “If you don’t RIP – then you are posing.”
B: Positives are perfect 22′ pipes, amazing parks and airbags to land in. I don’t work in the industry anymore… so I don’t really have any negatives.

What’s in store for VTSP? How well does the crew stay in touch?
G: VTSP is definitely a hardcore crew. VTSP has a tremendous value to shredders on the East Coast. It’s our responsibility to give back, maybe in the form of a business? Big props to VTSP OG – MattyL he’s my boy. B town local.
B: No real plans… We just go with the flow. I just made a big batch of custom Beanies for the season. I’ll be giving a bunch of them away on the VTSP FBook page so “Like” it for a chance to win some.

Tell me you guys still have some of that early 90’s day-glow gear kicking around? Ever bust it out?
G: I could probably dig up an old O’Neill jacket and a pair of neon frogskins. Brush has all that gear in plastic still!
B: Burton made some vintage gear a few years back back that I rocked for a season. My mom claims she still has huge containers filled with old Burton clothes… I’ll have to check it out one of these days!
